Renovated Modular Healthcare Facility

The Challenge

DOT Foods, North America’s largest food redistributing company, needed an outpatient healthcare facility for their employees at their Maryland location. Rather than contracting a new stick-built structure, they reached out to Modular Genius for a solution.

The Solution

Modular Genius was in possession of two 14’ x 64’ modular units that initially served as a childcare facility in Georgia and were subsequently repurposed for education. Modular Genius performed a comprehensive refurbishment on the two modular units. Stripped down to the studs, the structures were meticulously renovated for healthcare use. This transformation involved a thorough gutting and reconfiguration, creating a modular healthcare clinic with an exam room, a waiting room with a reception desk, private office space, medical storage, single occupancy restrooms, a laboratory, a break room for employees, and a procedure room. The interior of the building features a thoughtfully designed interior, with finished drywall and luxury vinyl plank flooring for a modern aesthetic. The exterior showcases a blend of hardi-lap siding and stone skirting, ensuring durability and providing a visually appealing facade. This building was installed in 184 days from contract to completion.
