I have had the pleasure of working with Brad Gudeman and the Modular Genius team on the set up, delivery and construction of (4) Leased Relocatable facilities over the past five years. Modular Genius was procured by our agency to install 19 modular buildings on concrete footings and masonry piers and to connect the modular units to provide offsite office space for a sister government agency. To accomplish this task, they worked on the interior and exterior of the modular units, landscaping, fire suppression and safety, and installation of a main water distribution line that provides service to the units. Modular Genius was required to coordinate all the trades and subcontractors on the job, apply for and obtain all the required licenses, inspections and final certificate of occupancy, and work closely with all the District agencies required to complete this project.

Modular Genius performed to an extremely high level of professionalism. They not only completed the tasks that were required per the contract drawings and specifications, but their site and support staff exceeded all expectations by resolving issues at the site, proposing solutions to the project architect that were well reasoned and that met our needs, and worked with difficult site issues with creativity and knowledge.

This is a firm with high level of integrity and a company that takes pride in their work product. Their installation was of such outstanding quality that the change order process produced very little items to be corrected. At the start of the project they reviewed the drawings, scope and specs, and priced and sequenced the job with such competency that the project ended with a total change order of less than one-half percent of the total contract amount. In fact, the majority of change orders were owner requested additions. This is a testament to their knowledge of their work as well as to the competency of their staff.

We were pleased with the work of Modular Genius and are exploring other projects where we can work together again. It is without reservation that I recommend the work of Modular Genius for consideration of obtaining a general contractor’s license in your state because they have a high level of moral character; their knowledge of the industry and ability to work with all the nuances that general contracting work presents is superb; and their ability to produce a quality work product within budget and within the owner’s time line is outstanding.
