Charity

Modular Genius is proud to be a part of several charity initiatives.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is known for building houses for needy families throughout the region. Students at a Bel Air High School partnered with Habitat for Humanity-Susquehanna to bring a lucky homebuyer in Aberdeen a new house – literally. Two flatbed trucks brought the modular home to its final place in Aberdeen, where it will be completed by students from Harford Technical High School. It’s the eighth “Habi-Tech” home built by the students. They spent two years making the house using “green” building techniques, with energy-saving features. And the team isn’t resting for long. The Harford Cobras will start construction soon.

Pat’s Promise & Kelly’s Dream

Kelly O’Donnell Ware of Kingsville, MD was diagnosed with late-stage metastatic melanoma at the age of 39. Her disease was at an aggressive stage, and she had few options. Thus began her journey with an invasive treatment plan and two clinical trials. In 2009, Kelly founded Kelly’s Dream, a 501(c)3 nonprofit providing financial assistance to cancer patients in Maryland and raising awareness to reduce the incidence of melanoma and other forms of skin cancer.
