The Challenge

Baltimore County required a relocatable building to expand its public health infrastructure. The site, located in Dundalk, MD, needed a space that could be rapidly deployed and fully functional to serve as a dedicated COVID-19 testing facility. The solution had to comply with state and local building codes and include designated areas for clinical activities, secure storage, and administrative tasks, all while maintaining accessibility and a professional medical environment.

The Solution

Modular Genius provided a 1,056 sq. ft. relocatable modular unit designed and installed to support COVID-19 testing operations. The structure features multiple private rooms, including clinical and administrative spaces, storage areas, and a restroom, all configured to meet operational efficiency. Durable finishes, built-in cabinetry, and secure storage cabinets were included to support daily medical use. The building was outfitted with ADA-compliant entry ramps and HVAC systems to ensure comfort and code compliance. The modular unit was delivered and installed quickly, allowing Baltimore County to respond promptly to public health needs while maintaining flexibility for future relocations or repurposing.
