How Modular Genius Replaced Two Mold-Damaged Office Buildings at a Maryland Landfill

The Challenge

Two office buildings at a Maryland county landfill had been taken out of use because of mold. The general contractor managing the replacement needed two new office buildings of the same size to take their place, in the same spot. With foundations, site work, utilities, roofing, and interior finishes split among other trades, the buildings had to arrive on time and be set cleanly so everything else could follow.

The Solution

Modular Genius furnished two new 2,304-square-foot modular office buildings, 4,608 square feet in total, and handled delivery, blocking, leveling, anchoring, and set and seam for both. The buildings arrived in late December, and the Modular Genius scope wrapped in about a month, keeping the project moving through the middle of winter. With both buildings in place, the contractor’s other trades could move straight into the pitched roof, interior finishes, and utility connections.

For general contractors replacing office space that can no longer be used, this project shows how a modular office building, delivered and set quickly, gets a facility back on track without waiting on site-built construction.
