How Berkeley County Schools Added 21,082 SF of Temporary Classroom Space Through Modular Leasing
The Challenge
Berkeley County Schools needed additional classroom space in West Virginia, ahead of the upcoming academic year. With limited time for site preparation and installation, the district needed a temporary classroom solution that could accommodate its space requirements without permanent construction. The project required two classroom buildings totaling 21,082 square feet, making availability and a coordinated installation schedule important consideration.
The Solution
Modular Genius provided two classroom buildings from its existing lease fleet through a six-month rental agreement. The 13,530-square-foot and 7,552-square-foot buildings, consisting of 25 modules, were delivered, blocked, leveled, seamed, and anchored on-site. Decks, ramps, and steps were also included for building access.
By utilizing available modular classroom inventory and coordinating delivery and installation, Modular Genius provided Berkeley County Schools with a flexible, short-term classroom solution that met the district’s temporary space needs.
