The Challenge

The Maryland State Highway Administration needed to replace an aging modular building at its Upper Marlboro site, the third stop in a four-location statewide replacement contract. Like the other sites in this series, the project required full removal of the existing unit and a coordinated replacement that kept the site functional throughout the transition.

The Solution

Modular Genius removed the existing unit at the Upper Marlboro site and installed a new 14×60 modular building in its place, matching the building size used at the Conowingo site earlier in this series. The building was set on ABS pads and block with dirt or asphalt anchors and full skirting. Interior finishes included VCT flooring, central BARD HVAC, and a full restroom. Electric and plumbing were cut and reconnected on site. The completed building gave the Upper Marlboro site a fully functional replacement facility.
