Replacement Modular Office at Wastewater Treatment Plant
The Challenge
A southern Pennsylvania Water and Sewer Authority required replacement of an aging office modular office at one of their wastewater treatment plants. The existing unit was outdated and no longer met current code requirements, prompting the need for a modern solution within the same footprint while also increasing usable space. The project required coordination of demolition, site work, and engineering, necessitating a comprehensive approach to ensure a smooth transition from the old structure to the new facility.
The Solution
Modular Genius designed a customized floor plan and specifications, ultimately delivering a new 12’ x 60’ modular office built to Pennsylvania code requirements. MGI handled the demolition of the existing unit and efficiently transported the new building from Georgia to Pennsylvania in just two days, highlighting the speed of modular construction. Once on site, the unit was set, leveled, and finished with green hi-rib steel skirting, along with a site-built deck, steps, and entrance awning constructed in compliance with prevailing wage requirements. Interior finishes, including VCT flooring, VCG walls, and an acoustical ceiling, provided a durable and functional workspace tailored to the Authority’s needs.
