Relocation of Modular Classroom Building
The Challenge
Marshall County Schools in West Virginia had an existing modular classroom building that needed to be relocated to a new location. The district required the safe transport and reinstallation of the structure from Sand Hill Elementary School to John Marshall High School. The project involved coordinating the move of a large, single-story educational facility totaling 8,316 square feet while preserving the integrity of the structure and minimizing disruption to school operations.
The Solution
A relocation plan was executed to transport and reinstall the existing modular classroom building at the John Marshall High School campus. The 8,316-square-foot classroom complex was carefully prepared for transport, moved to the new site, and set for continued educational use. By relocating the customer-owned modular units rather than replacing them, the district was able to efficiently repurpose its existing facility and extend the life of the building while meeting the space needs of the receiving campus.
