Modular Classroom Relocated Within School District
The Challenge
Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) required additional classroom space at an existing school to address changing student population demands. The district needed a solution that could be implemented quickly and cost-effectively, while avoiding the time and disruption associated with new construction and maintaining continuity during the academic year.
The Solution
Modular Genius relocated an 864 square foot modular classroom unit from another PGCPS site for reuse at the new location. The unit was transported, reinstalled, and fully reconnected to utilities in accordance with all local and state building codes. The classroom was equipped with HVAC systems, energy-efficient lighting, and durable interior finishes designed for daily educational use. By repurposing existing modular assets, PGCPS was able to meet its immediate space requirements efficiently while minimizing disruption to ongoing school operations.
