The Challenge
Potomac City Public Schools in King George, Virginia required additional classroom space to accommodate increasing enrollment and support continued academic growth. The district needed a single-story educational facility that would seamlessly integrate with the existing campus while providing well-equipped classrooms, administrative offices, and essential support areas. The solution had to meet local building codes, provide safe and accessible entry points, and deliver a comfortable learning environment for both students and staff—all within a timeframe aligned with the academic calendar.
The Solution
Modular Genius delivered an 8,400-square-foot relocatable modular classroom building designed specifically for educational use. The thoughtfully planned layout includes six classrooms, a dedicated teachers’ lounge, private administrative offices, storage space, and boys’ and girls’ restrooms. The building is equipped with HVAC systems to ensure year-round comfort and features durable interior finishes, integrated lighting, and a bright, welcoming atmosphere conducive to learning. Exterior access points include code-compliant egress doors and ADA-accessible ramps, ensuring full accessibility. Constructed to meet applicable local and state regulations, this combustible construction classroom facility was manufactured off-site and installed efficiently, providing the school with a high-quality, turnkey solution delivered on an accelerated schedule to support uninterrupted instruction.
