Public School Temporary Modular Classroom Complex

The Challenge
A Pre-K through 8th grade school in Beltsville, MD was in need of a large modular classroom complex to accommodate a growing population in the school district. They determined that purchasing a portable modular classroom building was the quickest and most cost effective solution. Modular Genius was contracted to design and install a modular classroom building to meet their needs.
The Solution
Modular Genius, Inc. designed and built a 10,164 sq. ft. portable modular complex featuring ten classrooms, and boys’ and girls’ multi-stall restrooms. The new modular classrooms were designed to be functional, durable, and easily accessible for all students. As such, ADA compliant ramps were installed. The modular classroom building was designed and constructed to meet the school’s design, use, and space requirements, while also meeting Maryland’s design and code requirements.
