Public Middle School Modular Classroom Building

Upper Marlboro, MD

The Challenge

A thriving community needed additional classroom space to accommodate a growing population in the school district. They determined that purchasing modular school building was the quickest and most cost effective solution. Modular Genius was contracted to design and install the building to meet their needs. Water and sewer had to be connected at the street across the entire campus to support the new modular building. A new electrical service was needed by the local power company.

The Solution

Modular Genius, Inc. designed and built a 12,012 sq. ft. modular school building featuring twelve classrooms, and boys’ and girls’ multi-stall restrooms. The new modular classrooms were designed to be functional, durable, and easily accessible for all students. As such, ADA compliant ramps were installed. The modular classroom building was designed and constructed to meet the school’s design, use, and space requirements, while also meeting Maryland’s design and code requirements.
