Auto Repair Modular Office

Laurel, MD

The Challenge

Auto Collisions & Mechanics, Inc. had been leasing an office unit for years. The unit was old, showing its age and was cramped for the 3 person staff. Tired of renting, our client decided it was time for them to replace their space with something fast and affordable and that they owned! MGI consulted with the client after reviewing their site to determine the best modular for their location. The old leased modular was removed by the leasing company and a new building was in its place with little down time and disruption to their business.

The Solution

MGI helped design a slightly larger office with a more conducive floor plan for their business and provided all the required stamped plans to obtain the county building permit. MGI coordinated schedules to have the old building removed and within a few months the new office was built and delivered to the site. MGI installed tie downs, skirting, gutters, and down spouts and set the unit on abs pads on asphalt. The actual on-site mobilization and set-up was completed within 10 days. The client procured aluminum access systems for the means of egress and did the power connection on their own. The new modular office had a MD label and features a private office, an acoustical ceiling with recessed LED lighting, two exterior glass doors, vinyl tile flooring, vinyl covered gypsum walls, smart panel siding and trim and an additional room with vents and electric for a potential ADA restroom in the future.
