Public School Modular Classroom

The Challenge
Somerset County Public schools needed two portable classroom buildings to be installed during the summer of 2022 when school was out of session. The portable classroom requirements needed to include HVAC, large windows, sturdy doors and locks, technology and IT closets, durable floors and wall coverings, and adequate lighting. The school system was seeking a fast track procurement method for the order. Modular Genius, Inc. has an “on call” contract they used to fulfill the requirement.
The Solution
Somerset County hired Modular Genius via the Baltimore County Public Schools Contract JBO-716-19 to procure two 24×36 Modular Classrooms. Modular Genius, Inc. provided two durable portable classrooms inclusive of prefabricated aluminum steps and ADA ramps, on time and per contract. The 864 sqft classrooms were manufactured, delivered, and installed on site within 90 days of notice to proceed.
