Relocatable Modular Classroom for Area Elementary School
The Challenge
Broadford Elementary School in Oakland, Maryland required additional classroom space to support its educational programs while adhering to state and local building requirements. As part of Garrett County Public Schools, the district needed a cost-effective, code-compliant solution that could be delivered on a defined schedule and installed with minimal disruption to the existing campus. The building had to meet Maryland standards for educational occupancy, provide a safe and accessible learning environment, and align with the district’s operational needs.
The Solution
Modular Genius provided a 24’ x 36’ relocatable modular classroom totaling 864 square feet, designed for educational use. This single-story unit was configured as a classroom and constructed in accordance with approved Maryland building requirements. The building includes a covered walkway connection to the main school for protected access, an ADA-compliant ramp and stair system with guardrails, and integrated mechanical and electrical systems designed for classroom occupancy. The structure was installed efficiently on-site, providing Broadford Elementary School with a turnkey, code-compliant classroom solution that meets both safety and operational expectations.
