Public Elementary School Two Story Modular Classroom
The Challenge
The Mount Washington School in Baltimore, Maryland, needed additional space to accommodate its growing student population. The school sought a permanent solution that could be delivered quickly and efficiently, while meeting the educational requirements for a modern learning environment. The space needed to include classrooms, restrooms, and various staff amenities, all while adhering to local building codes and ensuring accessibility for all students.
The Solution
Modular Genius designed and built a 10,890 sq. ft. two-story modular classroom complex that seamlessly integrated with the existing campus. The building features 12 classrooms, a teacher’s lounge with a kitchenette, and an office workspace, providing a functional and comfortable environment for both students and staff. Two multistall restrooms for students and two single-occupant restrooms for staff were included, along with lockers in the hallways to facilitate student organization. Accessibility was ensured with the installation of an elevator, and the structure met all local codes and regulations for safety and accessibility. The modular approach minimized disruption to school activities and delivered the project on time.
