College Modular On-Campus Housing Complex

The Challenge

Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA, needed additional on-campus housing to accommodate their growing student population. The project required a fast, scalable solution to provide living space for over 100 students in time for the upcoming academic year. The college needed the dorm complex to include multiple essential amenities, such as bedrooms, bathrooms with showers, laundry facilities, and a common kitchen, all while ensuring ADA compliance for accessibility.

The Solution

Modular Genius delivered a 20,736 sq. ft. modular dormitory complex, comprised of three modular buildings designed to meet the college’s specific needs. The complex features over 60 bedrooms to house more than 100 students, with modern restrooms, fully equipped laundry facilities, and a shared kitchen area for communal use. ADA-compliant ramps and stairs were installed to ensure accessibility throughout the dormitory. The modular approach allowed for rapid construction and installation, ensuring the project was completed on time and in compliance with local building codes.
