Modular Training Facility for Nuclear Power Site

The Challenge

A repeat customer required an additional modular training facility at a nuclear power site to replicate an existing custom building. The structure needed to support firearms training, classroom instruction, and office functions while ensuring security, durability, and adaptability. Given the high-security nature of the site, the facility had to integrate impact-resistant materials, advanced security features, and energy-efficient systems. The project required an efficient construction solution that minimized on-site disruption and adhered to strict site-specific safety and operational standards.

The Solution

Modular Genius designed and delivered a custom modular training building composed of five units—two 12’ x 60’ and three 12’ x 66’—arranged in an “L” shape to maximize space utilization and functionality. The facility includes classrooms, office spaces, and a tactical training area with clear sightlines for instructor supervision. Constructed offsite, the modular units were installed quickly, reducing labor costs and on-site waste. High-impact resistant materials and durable finishes ensure long-term performance in the demanding nuclear site environment. Energy-efficient LED lighting, high-performance insulation, and resource-efficient materials promote sustainability and lower operational costs. The modular design allows for future reconfiguration or relocation, ensuring long-term adaptability. The exterior finishes seamlessly blend with the industrial surroundings while meeting all security and safety requirements. This cost-effective and flexible solution provides a high-performance training environment while maintaining efficiency and compliance with nuclear site regulations.
