Modular Classroom with Covered Walkway
The Challenge
Eastern Lebanon County (ELCO) School District in Myerstown, PA, needed to quickly expand classroom space at Jackson Elementary School to accommodate increasing student enrollment. The district required a cost-effective and code-compliant solution that could be installed on a short timeline without disrupting school operations. The additional space had to integrate seamlessly with the existing building while providing full accessibility and comfort for students and staff.
The Solution
To meet the district’s urgent need for additional learning space, Modular Genius delivered a 1,440 sq. ft. modular classroom building. Designed with both functionality and comfort in mind, the building features two large classrooms with ample natural light, whiteboards, energy-efficient lighting, and integrated HVAC systems to ensure a productive learning environment. The building is fully ADA-compliant, with an aluminum ramp system that connects to a covered walkway, providing safe and sheltered access from the main school. The structure was engineered to meet local and state building code requirements and is designed to withstand local wind and snow loads. The project provided ELCO School District with a seamless, attractive, and timely solution that allowed students and teachers to start the school year with no delays or interruptions.
