Administrative High School Office Expansion

The Challenge

Maya Angelou High School in Washington, DC, faced a growing demand for administrative space due to school expansion. With limited available space within the existing building and a need for a timely solution, school administrators sought a cost-effective and efficient way to add dedicated offices and support areas for staff without disrupting daily operations.

The Solution

To meet the school’s need for additional administrative space, a 1,440 sq. ft. relocatable modular building was delivered and installed on campus. The modular unit was designed to include four private offices, an open office area, a break room with a kitchenette, and two single-occupant restrooms, providing a fully functional environment for school administrators. The building was constructed to meet all applicable Washington, DC building codes and educational facility requirements, and its rapid installation minimized disruption to the school’s ongoing activities. The modular approach offered a flexible, high-quality solution that aligned with the school’s expansion timeline.
