Additional Modular Classrooms for School

The Challenge

Sabillasville Environmental School needed a new 24’ x 36’ modular classroom building to support their growing educational programs. As a returning client, the school hoped the new unit would blend in smoothly with two existing modular buildings already in place. The project required utility tie-ins to the main school building, along with permitting and accessibility accommodations, all while staying within a competitive budget and timeline.

The Solution

Modular Genius delivered a fleet 24’ x 36’ classroom building that matched the school’s existing modular units for a cohesive campus look. The building was installed on below-grade concrete footings and piers, filled solid for long-term stability. Though the classroom did not require plumbing, all electrical, fire alarm, voice/data, and intercom connections were extended from the main building, with one speaker and call box installed in each classroom. Dixie Electric handled all power connections, using existing in-ground infrastructure to tie the new unit into the school’s system. Modular Genius also provided decks and ADA-compliant ramps to connect the classroom to existing sidewalks. The building permit was secured by Modular Genius, allowing for an efficient and code-compliant installation that met the school’s needs with minimal disruption.
