PGCPS Modular Classrooms

Accokeek, MD

The Challenge

A multi campus K8 school in Prince George’s County, Maryland needed additional classrooms to accommodate their growing student population. Modular Genius was contracted to design and install a Modular Classroom Building to meet their needs.

The Solution

Modular Genius, a leader in modular construction for schools, worked with school officials to determine the proper amount of space needed for their students. Ten additional temporary classrooms with restrooms totaling 10,164 sq. ft. would provide the needed space to properly educate their students. Security was an important requirement for the school. The stand alone Portable Classroom included a fenced in walking path that led the students from the main building to the Modular Classroom Building. Modular Genius provided turnkey modular construction services including engineering, foundation, utility connections, as well as the data and fire alarm connections. ADA aluminum decks & ramps per code were completed to ensure maintenance free access to the new modular classroom building. The K8 School saved time and money by contracting Modular Genius to provide all the services needed to complete the project.
