Custom Modular Bunk House for Fire Station
The Challenge
The City of Long Branch Fire Department in New Jersey required a fast and efficient solution to build new on-site accommodations. The department sought a high-quality, comfortable housing option for fire personnel. The building needed to provide separate sleeping quarters, restrooms, and common areas while adhering to state and local building codes. To streamline procurement, the project was sourced through the Keystone Purchasing Network.
The Solution
Modular Genius designed and built a custom 2,856 sq. ft. modular bunk house to meet the department’s specific requirements. The building includes eight private bunk rooms, each furnished with two beds, to accommodate multiple shifts. Separate men’s and women’s restrooms and locker rooms were equipped with showers to support around-the-clock use. Common areas feature a lounge for relaxation and a break area with a kitchenette, providing personnel with essential comfort and convenience. The modular units were constructed off-site and installed efficiently, minimizing disruption at the fire station. The project was fully code-compliant and delivered through the Keystone Purchasing Network, ensuring both quality and procurement efficiency.
