Public School Modular Classroom and Admin Complex

The Challenge

The Charles Hickey, Jr. School in Baltimore, MD, required an expansion to accommodate its growing student population and provide dedicated spaces for both academic and administrative needs. The school needed a modular solution that could support 320 students across multiple classrooms, specialized educational spaces such as a GED lab, and various administrative offices. The challenge was to create a functional, secure, and compliant building that met educational and staff needs while ensuring privacy and safety.

The Solution

A 12,082 sq. ft. modular classroom complex was designed and installed to meet the school’s requirements. The building includes 10 classrooms with storage closets, a GED lab, a janitor’s closet, and single-occupant restrooms for both students and staff. The administrative section, accessible through a secure door with a card reader, features a break room, records office, psychologist office, two counselor offices, principal’s office, management associate office, and a conference room. This modular solution efficiently provides dedicated spaces for students and staff, enhancing the school’s operational capabilities while adhering to local safety and building regulations.
