The Challenge

A growing rural lake community in North Carolina required additional classroom space to accommodate rising student enrollment without compromising on quality, sustainability, or budget. The school district needed a cost-effective solution that could be delivered quickly, blend seamlessly with existing campus structures, and support long-term flexibility for future reconfiguration or relocation.

The Solution

Modular Genius delivered a 12-unit, 10,730 sq. ft. modular classroom complex by combining nine refurbished modular units with three new 14’×64’ modules. The layout includes spacious classrooms and centrally located gang-style restrooms for efficient access. All units were finished with site-installed smart panel siding for a seamless exterior appearance, while interiors feature vinyl-covered gypsum walls, VCT flooring, and acoustical ceilings for durability and easy maintenance. Offsite construction allowed for precise fabrication and integration of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, reducing onsite disruption and accelerating delivery. This modular solution provided a modern, sustainable learning environment tailored to the community’s current and future needs.
