Charter School Modular Education Complex

The Challenge

A new charter school in Beaufort County, SC, required a fast and efficient solution to accommodate students and staff in time for its opening. With limited time and resources, the school needed education space that would comply with facility standards while supporting the school’s academic mission. A non-profit organization that supports charter school development, partnered with the school to facilitate the construction and deployment of suitable facilities.

The Solution

Modular Genius provided two relocatable modular buildings, delivering a complete educational space tailored for immediate use. The layout includes three large classrooms ranging from 1,697 to 1,766 square feet, each supporting up to 89 students in classroom settings and up to 36 students in lab configurations. Additional spaces include administrative pull-out rooms, staff restrooms, janitorial areas, and fully compliant boys’ and girls’ restrooms. The project was delivered in two phases, ensuring flexibility and efficiency in installation. The modular buildings were designed to meet South Carolina school facility codes and provide a safe, functional, and scalable environment for the academy’s inaugural year.
