Modular Classroom Repurposed as Food Pantry
The Challenge
Christ Episcopal Church in Spotsylvania, Virginia, operates a community food shelter and faced a pressing need for additional space to store and distribute food. With limited funding available, the church sought a cost-effective solution that could be delivered quickly without compromising functionality or safety.
The Solution
To meet the church’s budgetary and spatial needs, a high-quality 816 sq. ft. used modular classroom from Modular Genius’ used fleet was provided and repurposed as a food pantry. The relocatable building offered an ideal solution, delivering ample interior space for food storage and distribution. For accessibility, a selection of used ramp and aluminum stair components was installed, ensuring full accessibility and code compliance while keeping the project within budget. The modular building allowed the church to expand its community outreach efficiently and affordably.
