Local Church Modular Sunday School Assembly Space
The Challenge
A local church needed additional space behind their main building to accommodate Sunday School classes and various programs. They chose to purchase a modular building, and contacted Modular Genius to ensure the successful completion of their vision.
The Solution
Modular Genius collaborated closely with the church to develop an optimal floor plan and determine the best placement for the new modular building, considering future expansion plans for additional units within the next five years. Modular Genius was awarded the project and constructed a 24’ wide by 36’ long modular classroom building that met all state code requirements. The building, fabricated in Georgia, was delivered to Maryland in just two days. The installation included setting the unit on below-grade concrete foundations with double stack block and tie-downs for stability. The project featured new aluminum steps and a ramp for the two exterior doors, with the base skirted in vinyl siding for a finished look. The interior was customized with 1/8” VCT flooring, VCG walls, an acoustic ceiling, and vinyl lap siding. Additionally, gutters and downspouts were installed, and Modular Genius provided stamped plans to facilitate the permitting process, ensuring a compliant and efficient setup for the church’s expanding needs.
