Modular Classroom Complex for Specialized School

The Challenge

Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) had several modular classroom buildings that were no longer needed at certain school sites but remained in good condition. With rising enrollment and limited classroom space at other district schools, PGCPS needed a practical and budget-friendly way to reuse these buildings. The district aimed to relocate one 864 sq ft modular classroom from Templeton Elementary School to Fairmont Heights High School to help meet the growing demand for learning space.

The Solution

Modular Genius was selected by PGCPS to relocate an 864 sq ft modular classroom from Templeton Elementary School to Fairmont Heights High School. The scope of work included disassembling the building, transporting it to the new site, preparing the foundation, and reinstalling the structure. Utility connections were reestablished, and the classroom was made ready for immediate use. This relocation allowed the district to quickly address space shortages while maximizing the value of existing resources, supporting PGCPS’s goal of efficient and sustainable facility management.
