Relocation of Modular Classrooms

The Challenge

Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) owned several modular classroom buildings that were no longer in use at certain school sites but were still in good condition. With increasing demand for classroom space at other district schools, PGCPS needed a cost-effective and efficient solution to redistribute these existing resources. The district sought a contractor capable of relocating three 864 sq ft modular classroom buildings to meet the growing space requirements at Charles Herbert Flowers High School in Springdale, MD.

The Solution

Modular Genius was contracted by PGCPS to handle the relocation of three 864 sq ft modular classroom buildings from underutilized sites to Charles Herbert Flowers High School. Our team managed all aspects of the relocation process, including disassembly, transportation, site preparation, and reinstallation of the buildings. Each structure was reconnected to utilities and reconfigured for immediate classroom use. The project provided a fast, efficient solution to space shortages while maximizing the use of existing assets, aligning with the school district’s goals for sustainable and cost-effective infrastructure management.
