Washington, D.C. Modular Arts Classrooms

The Challenge

DC Public Schools required a specialized modular classroom building for Garrison Elementary School to support its arts curriculum. The school needed dedicated spaces for both art and music instruction, including specialized storage and utility features. The solution had to meet educational facility standards while fitting within the existing campus layout with minimal disruption to ongoing school operations.

The Solution

A 2,660 sq. ft. modular classroom building was designed and installed to provide Garrison Elementary School with two dedicated learning environments: an art room and a music room. The art room was equipped with dual sinks, an attached kiln room for ceramics work, and dedicated art supply storage to meet the specific needs of the program. The adjacent music room included built-in music storage to accommodate instruments and instructional materials. The modular building was engineered to comply with all DC Public Schools facility standards and local building codes. Installation was completed efficiently to minimize interference with school activities, delivering a fully functional and customized educational space within a condensed timeline.
