FAA Mobile Command Center

The Challenge

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) needed a mobile command center at the Atlantic City International Airport to provide space for their research and development team and contractors supporting unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). A bid was issued for a 10’ by 40’ mobile office with white walls and ceiling, overhead LED lights, HVAC with dehumidification, and a light gray exterior. The office needed to meet New Jersey code as well as being on site within 45 days of award.

The Solution

Modular Genius was the successful bidder and built the new 10’ by 40’ office and delivered it to the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center at the Atlantic City International Airport, NJ. MGI delivered, blocked, and levelled the office, tied it down for safety as well as provided two new aluminum staircases. Stamped blocking and tie down plans were provided, as well as stamped plans for the office trailer to the owner. The office included: VCT flooring, vinyl gypsum walls, hardie-panel siding, beige, two-ton HVAC with dehumidifier, countertops, file cabinets and shelving.
