Modular Genius Awarded MDOT Modular Truck and Weigh Inspection Station Contract

Modular Genius has been awarded a unique modular project for the Maryland Department of Transportation at the Delmar Truck Weigh Station on Rt. 13 in Delmar, MD. The project includes a 16’ wide floorplan for southbound traffic featuring a bump-out design to accommodate highway inspections and scale house operations.

Because transporting a 16’ wide building poses challenges with escorts, travel restrictions, bridge clearances, and special permits, Modular Genius designed the structure to ship in two 8’ sections that will be mated together onsite. In addition to the southbound facility, a modular inspection office will also be installed on the northbound side of Rt. 13.

The modular buildings will be installed in Q3 of 2025.
