Modular Genius, headquartered in Joppa, Maryland, is an award-winning modular builder. Thanks to today’s design and construction technologies, the modular buildings we design and manufacture for customers across the nation are both functional and attractive and seamlessly blend into their surroundings.
Whether you are looking for a single-story or multi-story structure with a standard or custom floor plan, our innovative modular buildings are suitable for every type of business or industry and offer endless design possibilities. We are also a turnkey modular building contractor and a GSA Schedule Contract Holder GS-07F-0124W with the Federal Government.
Our service-oriented team of designers, engineers, and technicians is available to meet your needs efficiently and cost-effectively, lowering design and construction costs by 20% to 40% and shortening the construction timeline by approximately 40%.
Modular Genius has the expertise to design and build state-of-the-art modular classrooms that include all necessary features and can be purchased or leased at an average savings of 20% less than a conventional design-bid-build classroom. Other benefits include:
High Quality– You won’t sacrifice quality when you select a modular classroom. They are built with the same or better building materials to more demanding tolerances and meet or exceed building, safety and occupancy codes.
Energy Efficiency– Modular buildings can compete in the same Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) categories as stick-built structures. Energy efficient utilities, eco-friendly insulation, and efficient automated sensors for lighting and heating systems can be installed to enhance the indoor air quality and environmental friendliness of the structures.
Design Flexibility – Façades can be finished in cut stone, brick, stucco, siding, and a wide variety of other finishes to blend with the surrounding architecture and other structures on your campus.
Portability – Modular classrooms are inherently portable. They can be disassembled, reconfigured, and moved to a different location whenever necessary, a feature only modular construction can offer.
Temporary Classroom Case Studies
Evidence of Modular Genius’ expertise with temporary portable classrooms and other school buildings includes many Awards of Distinction from the Modular Building Institute for high-quality projects we’ve completed in the past decade. For example:
We constructed a complex of 74 connected classroom buildings totaling 55,456 square feet to meet the needs of the community of Summersville, WV. The community had to replace their middle school which had served 500+ students but was declared a total loss by FEMA due to water damage sustained in the West Virginia floods of June 2016. This project received a 2018 Award of Distinction from the Modular Building Institute.
Evergreen Elementary School was originally built with environmentally friendly features and was awarded LEED “gold” status in October 2010. It was important that new portable expansion classrooms also incorporate green features. Modular Genius utilized custom sized windows to match the innovative school, installed waterless urinals, a white rubber roof that reflects sunlight, and a CS 2000 energy management system to reduce energy consumption. This project received a 2013 Award of Distinction from the Modular Building Institute.
