Modular Buildings for Parks & Recreation Facilities

Modular Buildings for Parks & Recreation Facilities

Modular buildings for parks & recreation facilities are a very cost-efficient alternative to constructing totally new structures on your property. Not only are they much more affordable, they’ll also be ready for occupancy much faster. Modular Genius has a great deal of experience designing and manufacturing structures for either temporary or permanent use, and we take care of each and every step of the process. We’ll not only design your structure and build it, we’ll also prepare your site, deliver the structure, and install it as well.

Why Go Modular?

The benefits of modular structures are amazing. These aren’t the old “portables” you may have used years ago. Today’s modular buildings are made of durable, high-quality materials, and they’re designed to last for decades. We can provide you with a structure that meets all your needs in half the time it would take you to construct a new building on your property.

We can provide you with a building designed for scout troops, vacation cabins, administrative offices, or just about anything else you can imagine. We’ll make sure they’re accessible to people dealing with physical challenges so that you’ll be in complete compliance with all state requirements as well as Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) mandates.

Modular Genius has a team of craftsmen, as well as engineering and design experts. We’ve been honored with many industry awards for innovation, and we’ve manufactured structures for not only parks and rec use, but also a wide range of industrial, governmental and commercial clients. We can save you a great deal of money on construction costs, and also meet your deadlines.

Here are just a couple of examples of buildings we’ve constructed for parks and recreation clients.

Glacier Bay Park

We built a 400 square foot structure for Glacier Bay Park in Glacier Bay, AK. The structure blended in perfectly with the surrounding environment, and included not only offices, but a restroom and meeting room as well. We added cedar mill siding with rustic accents, and set it on a foundation of wood. When we were done, the structure was virtually indistinguishable from the other beautiful buildings on the property.

That’s not to say there weren’t certain challenges associated with this job. For example, we had to design and construct the building in a manner that it would stand up to the elements.

Glacier Bay is located near the Gulf of Alaska, which can often produce damaging storm surges. Extremely cold temperatures and high winds were also major considerations. But we were able deliver a building that can withstand not only winds of more than 100 mph, but cold weather as well. Not only were we able to deliver within the client’s timeframe, we were also able to manufacture 95 percent of the building at our facility.

Liberty Island

The U.S. National Park Service contracted us to build a modular structure to serve as a locker room, restroom, maintenance office and lounge for staff working at Liberty Island, NY. The Service needed a temporary structure while renovations were ongoing to other buildings on the island, which is located near the Statue of Liberty.

As with Glacier Bay, we designed the Liberty Island structure to withstand often-harsh weather conditions, such as violent storms and winds in excess of 100 mph. We accomplished this by including wind-resistant skirting, efficient pier spacing, special ground anchors, and more.
