Popular Modular Applications

Modular buildings today are nothing like those simple construction trailers you see on job sites. Instead, you will discover innovative designs and aesthetics that will provide a high-quality solution for any purpose you can envision.

Education: Modular buildings are extremely effective for solving sudden changes in school enrollments and for expanding capabilities, such as adding science labs, gymnasiums, libraries, media centers, and even dormitories and residence halls. Modular Genius has delivered hundreds of thousands of square feet of modular school building space for public and private schools, colleges, universities, daycares and corporations.

Healthcare: State-of-the-art modular healthcare buildings are a cost-effective way to add the space you need to better serve patients, doctors and hospital staff. Enlarge an emergency room or outpatient facility; add testing labs, dialysis, physical therapy, or laundry facilities.  Meet your growing, often urgent, demands without struggling through a time-consuming, labor intensive construction process.

Business:  Today’s modular office buildings are both functional and attractive, and blend seamlessly into their surroundings. Impressive entrances can be integrated along with customized rooflines, porticos, canopies, and window and door treatments.  Modular buildings in excess of 100,000 SF, complete with elevators, will suit any conceivable purpose, with exterior finishes such as brick, stucco, siding and other architectural surfaces.

Military/government: The inherent design of modular buildings gives them greater flexibility compared to reinforced concrete and masonry buildings in government and military applications. They can be built to meet Federal government standards for all specific mission requirements, including DoD Minimum Antiterrorism Standards, and can be customized with UV and corrosion-resistant exterior coatings, blast-proof windows and doors, and progressive collapse capabilities.

What Do Modular Buildings Cost?

The cost of modular construction will depend on the size of the building, the complexity of your design, the quality of materials, and the cost of prep work required at the building site.

Prices vary by region and typically range from $50 to greater than $200 per square foot depending on grade (base, mid-grade, premium, elite) and whether you select wood frame or steel frame construction. On average, the cost is 20% lower than that of a conventional building.

Your building site is another factor. Sites that are relatively flat and debris-free are easier and quicker to prep and less expensive. Sites that are sloping, prone to flooding, rocky, or covered in debris will require more labor and time, and the price will be higher.
