High School Modular Classroom Complex
The Challenge
A high school in Hagerstown, Maryland wanted to replace sixteen old portable classrooms with large modular complex buildings with restrooms. Modular Genius was contracted to design and install the Modular Classroom Building to meet their needs. The site had a slope which would make the delivery and installation a challenge.
The Solution
Modular Genius installed two additional buildings each with eight classrooms and restrooms totaling 15,624 sqft. The foundation and piers constructed with heights up to five feet tall. The height of the piers required a crane to set some of the modules. Once the buildings were set and anchored down the utility connection commenced. Aluminum prefabricated decks and ramps were constructed between the two buildings. The aluminum product ensured a maintenance free access to the new modular classroom building.
