[CHALLENGE]
The Town Point Park pavilion in downtown
Norfolk Virginia underwent a $14M
renovation in the summer of 2009. The
events that take place at Town Point Park
require facilities for the event staff,
celebrity guest and caterers. The goal
was to produce high end facilities, but
because the park is located in a high
wind/flood zone, permanent construction
was prohibited.
[SOLUTION] Modular Genius worked with the architects
to create modern new look for the
temporary buildings. Kalwall – High Performance
Translucent Wall Panels were
used for the exterior of each building
creating a bright interior and a modern
exterior appearance. Custom aluminum
walkways were designed with wire mesh
so that the contemporary structur
